The use and safety of laser welding
1、 Basic knowledge of laser welding machines
Laser welding machine is a device that uses a high-energy laser beam to irradiate a workpiece, causing the surface material of the workpiece to quickly melt, thereby achieving welding. Laser welding has the advantages of fast welding speed, high weld quality, and small deformation, and is widely used in fields such as automobiles, electronics, light industry, and machinery.
2、 Preparation work before operation
1. Check if the working environment of the laser welding machine meets the requirements, including temperature, humidity, cleanliness, etc.
2. Check if the power supply and cables of the laser welding machine are intact and undamaged.
3. Confirm whether the water cooling system of the laser welding machine is operating normally, and check whether the temperature and flow rate of the cooling water are normal.
4. Check if the reflector and focusing mirror of the laser welding machine are clean and free of contamination.
5. Prepare the necessary tools and materials for welding, such as welding wires, cleaning agents, etc.
3、 Precautions during operation

When operating a laser welding machine, it is necessary to wear protective goggles to prevent high-energy laser beams from directly shining on the eyes.
2. Ensure that there is no one in the work area and avoid causing harm to surrounding personnel.
During the welding process, the quality of the weld seam should be observed at all times, and welding parameters should be adjusted in a timely manner to ensure welding quality.
4. Pay attention to the operation status of the laser welding machine. If there is any abnormal sound or odor, stop the machine immediately for inspection.
During operation, it is strictly prohibited to touch the internal components of the laser welding machine to prevent burns or electric shock.
4、 Handling of abnormal situations
If there is a malfunction of the laser welding machine, it should be stopped immediately for inspection and professional personnel should be contacted for repair.
If there are quality issues with the weld seam during the welding process, the welding parameters should be adjusted in a timely manner, or components such as welding nozzles and lenses should be replaced.
If there is a malfunction in the cooling system, it should be stopped immediately for inspection and all components of the water cooling system should be checked for normal operation.
5、 Maintenance and upkeep
1. Regularly clean the reflector and focusing mirror of the laser welding machine, and keep the lenses clean and free of dirt.
2. Regularly check whether the cables, power supply and other components are intact, and replace them in a timely manner if there is any damage.
