How can Manhart (Guangdong) CNC Machine Tool Co., Ltd. avoid material slippage during the bending process?

Material slippage during the bending process is a common problem. To avoid this situation, the following methods can be adopted:
1. Choose the appropriate V-groove width: When selecting a bending mold, a V-groove width of (4-6) T should generally be selected. If the size of the bending is less than half of the selected V-groove width, it may cause material slippage.
2. Centerline deviation method (eccentric machining): If the internal dimensions of the bent material are less than (4-6) T/2, the centerline deviation method can be adopted, which is to perform eccentric machining based on the difference to prevent material slippage.
3. Padding processing: During the bending process, appropriate padding can be placed below the material to increase friction and prevent material slippage.

4. Use small V-groove bending: For thinner materials, smaller V-grooves can be used for bending, which can increase the stability of the material in the V-groove and reduce the possibility of slipping.
5. Pressure: During the bending process, the material can be appropriately pressurized to increase its stability in the V-groove.
By taking the above measures, the problem of material slippage during the bending process can be effectively avoided. At the same time, it is also necessary to pay attention to adjusting the process parameters flexibly according to specific material properties, thickness, and bending angles during the operation process, in order to achieve the best bending effect.
